Affirmations have been life-changing for me. If you asked me several years ago if I believe in it, I would have most probably said no – it seems so cheesy right?!
Did you know that your brain responds to repetition and consistency? We need to train our brains with positive thoughts constantly.
Majority of my life, I struggled with low self-esteem, it has a lot to with the bullying I faced in school.
I hated the way I looked, I did not bother looking in the mirror to admire my body and I always felt like I was not good enough.
Over the last 2 years, I drowned myself in affirmations.
Last year, I was in very negative space (everything that happened in 2020 may have also contributed to it) – felt like I was failing as an entrepreneur and letting down everyone around me. I needed to get out of this rut somehow but did not know-how.
While scrolling down my Instagram feed one day, I came across a quote that made me think… and was also the cue I needed to change my mindset.
I immediately went through the accounts I was following and started muting all those accounts that made me feel like I was not good enough and started following accounts that were building my self-esteem again.
I gave my social media a little makeover- the type of content I watched, read, and listened to changed.
Yes, everything you read, listen to and watch plays a role in how you feel for the day.
Even my playlist on Spotify changed – the songs that I listen to daily get me in the groove and sets the tone for the day.
Tip: Write love letters to yourself (manifesting your long-term desires and goals) or stick affirmation notes in the space you are in every day – like on your mirror.
I am perfect, whole, and complete just the way I am. I love my body because it allows me to experience the world around me and try new things. I take care of my body and my body takes care of me. Love fills every inch of my skin and I feel the love inside my body.
If you think it and say it every day, you end up manifesting it. Do you believe in this?
My favourite Affirmations:

- Today, I promise to be kinder to myself.

- I am beautiful, strong, and loved.
- Fear is just a feeling; I overcome it and move forward.
- I am the only one who can stop me.
- I choose to see the opportunities surrounding me.
- I can do amazing things.
- I am more than enough.
- I am a magnet for success.

- I am worthy of receiving all the wonderful things I desire.
